77   KK Xt Lezayre ye last day of Apr 1717


This is affirmed to be the last will and testament of John 
Kindred,who comitted his soul to God & his body to Xtian
burial. Item he left & bequeathed to his daughtr Margt 
all the money yt lyes in mortgage in Kelly's Close, she paying 
to her two sons Wilm & Thom twenty shills each when she
receives ye sd money & not before. Item he left to Issable 
Mcylecharane his grand-daugter a quart of wool; to Jon McYlecha=  
rane a sheep and a lamb; to Jane Quail a choice blanket &
a yearling legacy. Itm he left to Jon Tear halfe a crown 
besides what goods he has of ye testators in possession.
It. to his daugter Averick fiveten shills besides a beast which 
she received in 28 shills, and eight or nine shills 
whch was paid her in money. It. he left to John Tear's two 
daugtrs a sheep & a lamb if she has on. It. he declared yt
there is due to him fro his son Gilbt (bequeathing yt same
to the Excrx) these following sums and

It For a mutton wch he sold to Robt Xtian   }
   & wch sd Gilbt taking ye same for his own} 0 - 02 - 0
   use                                      } 
The testator further declared to avoid future differences 
yt might arise yt his son Gilbt received two oxen & a horse 
of his mothers goods, & if he is fully satisfyd in all yt belonged 
to him by his mother's Will & also for ye 5 stooks of oats 

oats that were due to him by ye death of his step mother 
for wch he got a quart of wool, ye price being     2.6 
It. due to him from Issable Quark                  2.4 
It. due to him from Ewan Kissage Lockman           1.3. 
It. He left & bequeathed to his son Gilbt six pence legacy
and to ye Minister of ye parish a lamb. It. He willed that 
sd son Gilbt should pay to ye exectx fifteen shills or otherwise [he] 
to have & possess a pcell of land called Cametts-Croft wthout
sd Gilbt lett or molestacon. It. he left for his funeral [expense]
eight shills, & to ye witnesses of ye Will eight pence a piece.
    Lastly, he constituted and appointed his beloved daughtr 
Margt McYlecharane (als) Kindred sole Execx of all his
goods moveable & immoveable, half ye sheep excepted wch [her]
two sons William and Thomas are to have.

Jon Tear enters his claim agt ye Extx of John
Kinread for 23s & carves ye Law
Eodem Die. Jon Tear entersagts ye Extx of Jon Kinread
two sheep ...... half a calf of a year old, a blankett
& a quart of wool

May 15th 1718 Dan quinney of KK Arbory enters a claim agt ye
Extx of Jon Kinread for 40s, a dozen of sheep wch was due to his wife
in her christning [peny] with what more ofye shepherd will provwe,&
craves ye law.			

          Ballaugh May 19th 1718
Daniel quinney of KK Arbory acknowledges
to have recd this day ten shillings in full
of the legacy left to his wife by her Father
Jon Kinred, & also seven shillings more
in full satisfaction ofr the Claim enterd by
him agt the Extx of his sd Father in Law
& for all dues, reckonings & demands what
sover. As witness his subscription the
day & yeare above written

Lezayre              1723
Thomas McYlkarane does hereby acknowledge to have
recd from his mother Margt Mcylkarane the sum of
twenty shillings which was left him by his Grand=
=father John Kinread of Lezayre out of ye mrogage
money in Close y Kelly. Tor which he doth acquit
exonerae & discharge his sd mother & her Exectrs
heirs & assigns for ever. as witness his mark

of Fifty two shillings, & this to be in full
of all claims, reckonings & accts betwixt ye
sd parties whatsover. In witness whereof 
the sd arbitrators have hereunto added their
subscriptions the day & year first within written

I John Tear having recd from the Exectrx
of my Father in Law Joh Kinred all that was
awarded me by this Arbitramt of Thomas and
John Curlett, do hereby for my self & my wife
& our Heirs, Execs & Admrs acquit & discharge
the sd Executrix for ever for the same;
vizt; for the sheep & lamb left to my 2 chil=
=dren; for the half crown left me in the Will
of Jon Kinred my Father in Law & for such
goods of his as were in my possession at ye
time of his death; & likewise for the Fifty
two shillings above mnentioned; All wch are
duly recd by me, & the Executrix is fully dis=
=charged for the same, as before mentioned. As
witness my subscription this first of Novr 1718
