This is affirmed to be the last Will and Testament
of Daniel Tear, who departed this life about ye 5th
February 1718, being in perfect mind & memory
at the making thereof.
First, He commended his Soul unto God, and his
body to Christian burial.
Item, He left to his wife the brown mare, the bed
& bed cloaths and bedstock on which he laid,
with a sheep & lamb of his own; And left to her
also the Legacy, vizt., a firlet of rye & half firlet of
barley, which the heir of Bretney bequeathed unto
him, with three shillings six pence more due from
him as Legacy from ye sd Heir of Bretney.
Item, He left to his eldest daughter Joney Tear
all his part of the Farm of BallaCrenilt, where he
lived, with his part of the husbandry gears, &
hoped vessels.
Item, He left to his daughter Alice all his part of
the Land in the Down.
Item, He left & order’d his two daughters Joney
& Alice to pay ten shillings apiece to his youngest
daughter Nelly Tear.
Item, He left part of his cloathes to be given to
the poor.
Item, He left six pence apiece to the witnesses.
Lastly, He appointed & constituted his three children,
vizt., Joney, Alice & Nelly his true & lawful Execrs
of all his goods movable & immovable whatever.
Item, He delcar’d that there was 2s 3 1/2d due
unto him from John Casement of Ramsey.
From Edmund Martin 20d, & if he wou’d pay a
shilling in quietness & was to be recd for the whole.

From John Corkill 4d.
From Pat: Garret 5d or 6d.
From Dan Tear one of the witnesses the arrears
for Rent for a piece of Land, about 8s 1d.

Nelly Tear one of the Execrs being under age, the
other two Joney & Alice with ye mother are sworn
in form of Law. Probatum est & Solvit 12d.
The goods of the youngest daughter are in the mother’s
hands, who has given pledges the witnesses of the will;
who are pledges also for the other two Execrs.
The Inventory for ye youngest Daugr. to be added at May Court.
The Inventory of Dan: Tear being prized by four sworn
men, vizt., Wm Sayle, James Tear, Ja: Goldsmith & Robt:
Corkil, is as follows:
The Quick or Movable goods amount to 07 pounds : 00 shillings : 00 pence;
The immovable goods, ye dead’s part 02:10:10;
The corbs, vizt., ye half thereof 00:05:08;
The half of ye corn, after sowing ye land;
The half corn to be added next Harvest;
the sheep being 15, the 3d part of them
ran on ye venture[?] of ye daugr Nelly
Tear without[?] prize 00:00:0x;
The debts & funeral charges are to be deducted.
Two of the Execrs are at age, vizt., Joney & Alice,
who have ye goods in their own hands; And ye
goods of the other Execr Nelly are in the hands
of the mother who hath given pledge Wm Sayle
