life about the 8 of Apr last intestate,
whereupon the Church has decreed her
son Tho: Kinread sole Admr of all
her Goods moveable & imoveable what=
soever (her daughter Averick Kneal
als Kinread having had a Marriage Con=
tract) & the sd Tho: is sworn in Court
in form of Law.
       Decretm est & solvit 3s

Pledges to pay all Debts etc are

     Articles of Agreemt made & betwixt Thomas Kindred junr & William
Kneal with ye consent of his wife Averick of KK Andreas, as follows.
            
   1. It is agreed that ye sd Wilm Kneal of Balla Leany with ye consent of his wife
do hereby for ever quit claim & surrender all their right title & interest
that they now have (by ye death their mother Anne Kindred als Christian
& by their marriage contracts, or hereafter may or shall have by ye death or
disposal of their father Thomas Kindred) to two several parcels of Intack
one of them being part of Close-ny-Knappan & ye other call'd Clos-y-Vair, in
ye parish of KK Xt Lezayre, bearing a shilling rent or thereabouts, more or
less unto our loving brother Thomas Kinred junr aforesd & to his Execrs
Admrs & Assigns, fro us our Heirs execrs Admrs & Assigns:
   2. In consideracion of ye sd resignation, surrender & disposal ye sd Thomas
Kindred junr doth hereby bind & oblige himself to pay & give unto ye sd
Wilm Kneal & his wife ye ull & just sum of eight pounds ten shillings
currant money with halfe a days cutting of turfs as long as turfe may be
had in ye sd croft or Intack of Close-y-Knappan: besides quitting & sur=
rendring all his righgt & title to ye goods chattles & effects of ye sd Anne
Kindred alias Xtian his mother, to his sd brother & sister Wilm & Averick
Kneal, and moreover paying halfe of all debts & incumbrances due and
payable from his sd mother Anne Kindred als Xtian; Thomas Kindred having
bed-cloaths excepted.
   3. It is agreed yt whatever portion was prmised in ye Marriage
Contract given ye sd Willm & Averick Kneal by Thomas Kindred & wife
decd ye same is hereby acquitted & discharg'd for ever.
   Lastly For peromance of all and singular ye pmises ye parties con=
cern'd do bind & oblige themselves their Heirs & Execrs & Assigns in ye
penalty of sixty pounds according to ye Law & Practice of the Island.
