14 KK Patrick Jane Gellin als Cain who departed this life about the 8th of March last, made her last will and testament in manner following. First she committed her soul unto God and her body to Christian burial. Itm, She left to her daughter Margtt Gellin thirty shillings upon condition that she claimed no right to the house and gardens, according as was provided before in Tho: Cubbon’s Contract, otherwise to have no right to this legacy. Itm, She left to her sd daughter Margtt a blanket, a sheet and a piece of pledding that was in the house with a chest, a pott, and a couple of sheep. Itm, She left to her grandchildren a sheep and a yearling, viz., to Tho: Cubbon’s children. Itm, She named and appointed her daughter Marriod Cubbon als Gellin Executrix of all the rest of her goods, and ordered that if Margtt sold any of those legacys, her sister Marriod to have the first offer. Witnesses Silvester Moor Wm Cowle, jurati. The Executrix sworn in Court in form of Law. Probatum est & Solvit 12d. Pledges Captn Sill:Ratcliff & Sill Clerk. Augt 9th 1738 I do acknowledge to have recd from my brother in law Thos Cubbon of KK Patrick three blankets and one sheet due to me by the death of my parents Paul & Jane Gelling of Peeltown, and do acquit him of the same. Sept 13th 1740 This day Margret Gelling within mentioned came to the Records and acknowledge herself to be fully paid & satisfied for all the legacies left unto her by the death of her mother as mentioned in the within Will, and doth hereby acquit her sister the Executrix for ever of the same witness her Mark to her Name, Margret Gelling her mark X.
