This is affirmed to be the last will & testament
of Jane Kneal als Lawson, who departed this life
the 19th Decr 1723 and was in perfect mind & memory
at the making of it.
First, She committed his soul to god, and his
body to christian burial. Item. She left to her
son Michael Wade eighteen shillings, and a white blanket,
with as much wool as would make a pair of
stockings. Itm. She left the rest of the wool to
her husband Dan: Kneal, he paying the money
due for it. Itm. She left a speckled pladding
petticoat to her sister Nelly Lawson. To her grandson nephew
James Wade her part of the lamb. To her
daughter in law Ann Wade als Kneal all the
rest of her shaped linen & woollen cloathes. Lastly
she consitituted & apppointed her son John Wade sole
Exor of all the rest of her goods moveable &
immovable whatsoever: And if her said son would
refuse the Executorship, he was to be cut off
with 6d legacy. To the witnesses 4d each. And she de=
=clared that she gave a sheep & a lamb to John Cotter's
wife for to make ye bargain of ye land good.
