In the Name of God, Amen I William Qualtrough Senr of
Kentraugh in the Parish of Trinity Rushen being of sound Mind and
perfect Memory though in my bodily health very much decayed with

Indeed, as also to testify my affection for those whom I am in con

[Wylling] Mind make this my Last Will & Testament in Matter &
Form as hereafter follows: First I commend my Soul to God
my Creator,
. & Sanctifier & my Body to Christian Burial
in hope of a joyful Resurrection thro the Merits of Jesus Christ my
Saviour. As for those Worldly Effects wherewith it has pleased
God to bless me I leave & bequeath them as is hereafter mentioned.
I leave & bequeath unto the Poor of the Parish 1 Bowl of Barley to
be distributed by my Executor at Christmas next after my Death
I leave & bequeath my sister Katherin Rothmel a Mutton. I leave & be-
queath unto my son William Qualtrough all the redeemed Mortgaged
Lands of Kentraugh provided nevertheless that if my said son William
dye without Lawfull Issue that then I bequeath and leave unto my Loving
wife Elizabeth Qualtrough all the Money paid by us for redeeming
the said Mortgaged Lands. Itm. I further leave and bequeath unto her
all the [pewter] in the Houses, together with two cows. Lastly I ordain
nominate & constitute my only son Wm Qualtrough sole Executor of
all the rest of my Effects moveable & immoveable whatsoever provided
also that if my said son dye without lawful Issue that then the Effects I
