73                    KK Lonan

This is affirmed to be the last Will and Testament of 
Gilbt Cotteen of KK Lonan, who departed this life 
about ye 16 of November 1723.

First: He commended his Soul to God and his 
       Body to a Christian buriall

Itm:  He left to his Son and Heir Jon Cotteen 
      his part of the Crop, and that to be 
      sixty [stooks] in number of Oats and Barley

Itm:  He also left to his sd Son one ox & 3 sheep.  
      And moreover he left him the plow with
      all the plow geers that were, and two pair
      of Harrows two Spades and a Graup, to which
      particulars herein mentioned his wife consented 
      at ye making of this Will.

Itm:  To his oldest Daur Nelly three sheep

Itm:  To his youngest Daur Alice six sheep, and 
      twenty shillings

Lastly:  He left his wife Margt Cotteen (als Quay) 
      Executrix of all the rest of his Goods and 
      appointed Jon Brew and Phil: Cain 
      Overseers of his 3 children.

The supervisors appointed [herein] re:
fused the supervision  … who 
hath taken the ….. of the 
children and their G….. sworn in form 
of law, and the eldest daughter Nelly to

Phillip Cotteen the next relation to the deced’t hath given 
up to the wife (upon consideration of her taking the tuition
of the children and their goods) all Rt to their goods in case 
they dye under age.

The Inventory as follows:
The heirs pt of the crop 50 Mooks Oats 
and ten Stooks Barly --- in all --- sixty Mooks  
to be forthcoming in Kind.

a half pound of which the the wife hath
