The last Will & Testament of Philip Brew of Ballalurg 
in KK Lonan who was perfect of mind & memory 
at the making thereof, and departed this life 
the 8th day of Feb'ry 1724.

Impr: He commended his Soul to God and his 
      Body to a Christian Buriall.

Itm   He left to his Sister Jane Stole (als Brew) 
      of Ballagawn thirty shillings, namely the 
      twenty shill’gs in the hands of the Executors 
      of John Brew, and the other ten shill’gs 
      in the hands of John Cubon.

Itm   He left thirty shillings to his Brother James 
      Brew, ten shill’gs of which he said was 
      in Philip Knakill's hands and five shill’gs 
      in the hands of Daniel Knakill. And he 
      order’d his wife to pay other fifteen shill’gs 
      to his sd Brother & so make up the thirty shill’gs. 
          And whereas Daniel Knakill ow’d him 
      five shill’gs more, He left that five shill’gs 
      to the Elder Son of the sd Daniel.

Itm   He left to Philip Stole of Balla-gawn his 
      two choice Coats & a choice Wast Coat, besides 
      a pair of stockins.

Itm   He left a Coat to John Gelling of KK Conchan

Itm   He left a sheep to Paul Gelling & a lamb 
      to John Son of John Kewn, and six pence 
      legacy to those that wou’d claim any Right to 
      his Effects.

Lastly He left all his Houses & Lands to his Wife Ann 
       Brew (als Cotteen) and appointed her Executrix 
       of all the rest of his Goods, moveable and 
       immoveable whatsoever.

October 16 th 1725, James Scariffe [enters] a Claim 
against the Executrix of John Brew for forty shillings 
& ????? thereof for some years & also for Seven Shillings 
more for ???? of price of six stone ????? of Malt, 
and crave[th] of [the] Law.
