This is affirmed to be the last Will and Testament
of Alice Killip als Garret who Departed this life
ye 20th of March 1724, and was in perfect mind
and memory at the making of it.
   First, she commended her Soul to God and her 
Body to Xtian Burial.  Item she left to her Eldest 
daugr. Isabel Killip Crot-McSayle and a parcel of land
in the Down.  Item to her Daugr. Joney Killip 
Crott y Nollan in Ballaugh, And her Husband con
=sented to both these Bequests.  And if either of
them would depart this life, the Survivor was to
get the whole.  Item she left to her Daugr. Cath
=erine the meadow in Jourby and if she should die
the Heir Wm. Killip was to have ye said Meadow
and her sd. Husband consented to it.  Item she
left to her Eldest daugr. Isabel the big wheel and
to her daugr. Joney the little wheel.  To ye sd. Isabel
a Black mantie & petticoat & bodice To whom
she left the sheep named on her.  Item she left
to her sd. Daugr. Joney a red petticoat /  To her Daugr. 
Catherine an old red petticoat to make her cloaths And
Widow Catherine Cleator to fit a pair of sleeves thereof for
looking after the sd. Children and washing their cloathes
till May following.  Item, she left all the 
aforesd. lands, goods, and children to her sd. Husband 
till the Eldest Daugr. arrived to twenty years.
Item she left to each child the sheep that were
named on them.  Item she left to her son Willm.
the land of Inheritance with ye crop.  Item she 
declared that there was thirty shillings due to Catherine
Killip of Jourby.  To another person four pounds.
To Nicholas Cowley fourty shillings.  Lastly she
apointed her sd. Husband Execr. and 6d each to ye
witnesses: who declare that sd. Testatrix did not desire her
Husband’s consent; which he spoke of his own accord pro=
viding the goods would discharge all Debts.
