45 Ballaugh 1724
This is affirmed to be the last will of John Corlet who
departed this life the 9th of March 1724.
Imprs., he commended in sound mind & memory his soul to
God & body to Christian burial.
Item, he left his son John all his Lands, wth his pt
of the crop & husbandry gears, & his wife also consented
that the sd son shd have her pt of the Lands, crop &
husbandry gears after her decease.
Item, he left to his 2 daughters Katherine & Margt Corlet
six pounds vizt 3 pound each wch he order’d his son John
to pay them in consideration of what is bequeathed to him
in this will, & in case one of the sd daughters dyed, he
left the whole 6 pounds to the surviver.
Item, he declar’d he owed 9s to his brother Wm, & 19s 6d
to Parson Walker.
He also left 6d each to the witnesses, & Lastly constituted
his loving wife sole Execx of all the rest of his goods
moveable & immoveable wtsoever.

The Executrix sworn in form of Law.
Probatum est & solvit 10d.
The 2 daughters Catherine & Margt have consented to
abate 10s each of the 6 pounds bequeath’d them,
in consideration that their mother is to have her pt
of the crop at her own disposal.
Pledges for the Executrix Tho & Wm Caley.
The tuition of the Heir who is underage is wth the
consent of his sisters committed to the mother.
Octr 3d 1738:
Cath & Margt Corlett the children of the within John
Corlett do acknowledge to be fully paid and satisfy’d
by their bror John Corlett in the Legacy of 3 pounds
each bequeathed unto them by their father, having
abated 10s each, thereof pursuant to their consent
at the probate of ye will.
