44 KK Bride 1727 This is affirmed to be the last will and testament of CATHRINE HOWLAN ALS CRINELL who departed this life about the 24th of December last, being at perfect mind and memory at making of the same. First she committed her soul to God and her body to Christian burial. Item, she left her SON JOHN HOWLAN six pence. Item, she left to her SON WILLIAM HOWLAN as much linen cloth as would be a shirt. Item, she left to her DAUGHTER CHRISTIAN HOWLAN half of all her shaped linens with two petticoats and another petticoat if her DAUGHTER CATHRINE would be pleased to give it to her. Item, she left to her DAUGHTER CATHRINE the other half of her linens with a red petticoat and all the rest of her clothes. Item, she left to ANN LACE as being one of the witnesses of her will two quoifs and a hancarchief. Item, she left to MARGRET CHRISTIAN the other witness of her will a quoif and six pence. Lastly she nominated and appointed her HUSBAND WILLIAM HOWLAN sole Executor of all the rest of her goods moveable and immoveable whatsoever and that the same is to descend to her DAUGHTER CATHRINE after his death, if any remained.
