This is the last will & testament of William Cashin 
who departed this life about 12th Feb. 1727 Being 
of perfect mind and memory at the time of making thereof
First he committed  his soul to god and his 
body to Christian burial
Item he bequeathed his daughter Issable the 
sixteen pounds he had mortgaged in the Killa 
land and the sixteen pounds that he had in 
mortgage with Thomas Fayle’s land. The legacy  
including the six pounds that was  
to her by agreement from her father William 
Cashin and he wills that the said Issable 
should pay unto Henry Inch and his wife Averick 
his wife the sixteen pounds that was promised 
them in contract bargain otherwise or for 
non-payment of the sixteen pounds by the 
said Issable then the Henry Inch and Averick 
his wife are to have and enjoy the above 
mortgage that is to say the Kolla land and 
I desire the said Issable to expand part of 
the funeral charges and said she might 
very well expand to 
Item to William Casement a calf about twelve months old
Item to his daughter Bahee a yard or two of linnen cloth
Item to his granddaughter Christian Fayle the 20 
which was due to him from his son in law Thomas 
Fayle a sheep of two years old and another as 
old which was in William Quayle Car---- keeping
Item to his grandchild Thos. Inch a sheep of 
two years old that was also in Thos Quayle’s  
keeping 
Item- he willed that his daughter Grace should 
pay unto the Henry Inch and Averick his wife 
four pounds that was due unto them as contract bargain
Item- to Thomas Christian his  shoes, stockings 
& a pair of breeches not much worn
Item to the witness of the will 12d a piece   
The testate acknowledged that he owed 
Thos. Christian of Maughould 40d to Edward 
Christian 20s to Thos. Lewin & sister 
he likewise declared there was due unto him 
from Thos. Fayle     
from Ewan Impage 1s 8d
constituted his daughter Grace whole and 
sole executor of all the Bough Lator which he and
his deceased wife purchased and likewise of 
all the  rest of his goods movable  & 
unmoveable whatsoever. The testator   
if either Issable or Grace Cashin should die without 
issue, the goods of such deed should go to 
the survivor of them.

At St Michael April 1st.1728---
The witness to this will are sworn in court 
& so is the Exec. Grace Cashin who gave pledges,
the witness above.

April 1st 1728
Thomas Lawn enters a claim of the exec. 
Of William Cashin for eighteen shillings & 
four pence being remaining part of five 
pounds & four pence, and likewise for 
fifteen shillings & sixpence British value, 
being interest for the above sum and craves of law.

-----& anno--Henry Inch enters a claim to 
the exec .of William Cashin for six shillings. 
A yard of white woollen Cloath, a yard of 
linen Cloath—a mutton—

March3rd.1730—
The within Thos Lawn acknowledged in the behalf 
of himself & sister to be fully paid and later 
by the sum of eighteen shillings bequeathed unto  
him by rhe last will of William Cashin and from 
the  hands of William Kewley husband of Grace, 
the exec and this before me
              Ed Moore—reg.

January 30th 1732. 
The sum of 40 shillings owed by William Cashin 
to be due to Thomas Christian of-----hold was 
this day paid unto the T Christian in the house 
of William Gill of Lezayre upon which he the said  
Christian has acquitted Grace Cashin the exec. 
her husband William Kewley of the same forever

Henry Inch husband of Averick of the will of 
William Cashin sworn to be fully paid and 
satisfied by the executor----

Ballaugh July  17—
Thomas Fayle of Arikellow in Lezayre and his 
wife Bahee have acknowledged this day to be 
fully paid and satisfied the whole portion of 
eight pounds promised to them inn contract by 
the father William Cashin of Lezayre. Also 
they own to have in their hands the 20d left 
to their child Christian Fayle by her grandfather  
the said William Cashin  
together with the sheep 2 year old.
And in her a bill of work timber & the pasture 
of a bullock claimed by the said Thomas Fayle 
and also for a calf promised him by the said 
document. William Cashin’s executrix & her husband   
are to pay him 15d  by Michaelmas & upon all 
manner of controversy betwixt Thomas Fayle and 
his father in law or his exec as well touching 
lands as goods are fully to waste & determine. 
And to this agreement  both parties bind 
themselves their heirs Execs & Admins  , in  
penalty of twenty pounds, in  native of all  
fines .As witness their subscriptions the 
day & year first above written.
