The last will & testament of Hugh Karran of KK Maughold
who departed this life on or about ye first of April 1729
being of sound & perfect memory tho sick in body.
Impr he committed his soul to God & his body to Christian burial
Itm he bequeathed unto his daughter Margrett Freer alias
Karran five shillings Legacy, & to each of her children that are
now living twelvepence apiece Legacey.
Itm he bequeathed to his son Ewan Karran five shillings Legacy
if he would come for them.
Itm he bequeathed to his son Tho: Karran three shillings Legacy
besides four shillings & sixpence wch was due and coming to him from
old Robt Creech of KK Maughold (ye sd Creech being now dead)ye decd) part
being lost for want of claim wch was 2s 
3d the other 2s 3d he left
to his son Thomas also.
Itm he left to Cathrine Corlett 6d Legacy
Lastly he nominated & constituted his loving wife sole Executrx
of all ye rest of his goods moveable and immoveable whatsover
