120 Bride 1729 This is affirmed to be the last will and testament of JOHN HOWLAND of the parish of KK Bride who departed this life about the fourth of January last 1729 and was at perfect mind and memory at making of ye said will. First he committed his soul to God and his body to a Christian burial. Item, he left and bequeathed all his shaped clothes new and old unto SON WILLIAM HOWLAN. Item, he ledt and bequeath to his DAUGHTER ANNE HOWLAN ten shillings. Item, he left and bequeath to his DAUGHTER CHRISTIAN HOWLAND five shilling. Item, to the witnesses of the will six pence each. Lastly he nominated and appointed his loving WIFE sole and [whole] Executrix of all his goods moveable and unmoveable whatsoever. Witnesses Margaret Howland als Castle her mark X, Christian Crinell her mark X, jurati. The Executrix sworn in Court, and gave in pledges, Jo.Caiskill. Probatum est, & Solvit 1s.
