5       KK Santan, December 14th, 1730: 
In the name of God, amen. I John Bridson sick and weak 
in body but of good and perfect memory blessed be God 
for the same, do make here my last will and testament as followeth.  
First, I commit my soul to Almighty God and my body to Christian burial.  
I leave to the poor at time usual four kishans of oat meal.  
I leave to my son Christopher the 2 bed steads that he hath already legacy.  
I leave my son John five shillings and a pewter dish legacy.  
I leave to my son Joseph the new feather bed legacy.  
I leave to my daughter Bessy five shillings legacy.  
I leave to my daughters Ellin and Jane the white 
head calf equally between them legacy.  
I leave to my daughter Elisabeth 2 shillings legacy.  
I leave to my grandson Robert Quinney one lamb.  
I appoint constitute, nominate and ordain my loving 
wife Alice Bridson to be my sole and lawful Executrix 
of all the rest of my goods moveable and immoveable whatsoever.

At a Chapter Court held at Castletown June xx, 173x, 
The Revd. Mr. Cosnahan & Willima Costean witnesses of 
this will have proved the same in form of Law.  
The Executrix sworn and gave pledges her son
