This is affirmed to be the last Will of John Kneen
shoe:maker who departed this life about the 26th
of Decembr 1731, being of good mind and memory
at making the same. First He committed his soul
to God, and his body to Christian burial.
Item, He left to his two children vizt., Daniel & John,
to each of them a sheep legacy.
Item, he left to Bahee Goldsmith a grey sheep of
two year old. Lastly he bequeathed all the rest of
his worldly goods to his loving wife Anne Kneen
als Tear, and she to bring up his children & pay
all his just debts.
He own’d himself to be twenty shills indebted to
Cath: Cleater, and declared that the persons
following were indebted to him:
Isabel Goldsmith 3d,
John Kewley 4d,
Pat; Kneen 4d,
xxx More 8d,
Thos Tear KK Bride 8d,
James Tear sheoter[?] 14d,
Wm Tear y Vrooce 3d,
the wife of Tolta: Will 5d,
Danl Tear for winters keeping of an heifer,
Cath Corlet als Kneen 3s 5d
xx wch 4d to herself,
John Camaish junr for keeping an heifer ye
winter & spring quarters.
The Testator own’d to have had a days plowing
from Camaish in part but said he was promised
another yoking.
He declared yt Wm Brew Down ow’d him two shills,
& Ann Brew 3s; and Pat: Carret Cons: 13d.
He own’d himself indebted to Wm Brew for 2 days work.
He left 6d apiece legacy to the witnesses of his will,
& constituted his wife Executrix of all his goods whatsoever.

Cath: Cowle her mrk X, juratae.
The Exectrx sworn in Court in form of Law.
She is also sworn supervisor and gave pledges

18th Febr 1731:
Jon Garret has own’d himself indebted to the Testator 3s 6d.
The Executrx has accepted of 16d xxxxx & ye 4d legacy bequeath’d.
April 15th 1732:
Jon Garrett husband of Cath: Garret als Kneen has now paid
to the Exe ctrs of John Kneen two shillings wch she has accepted
of in full of all demands on account of the last will of her sd
husband, and does hereby acquit the sd Garrett & wife & yr
Execrs of all ye same, & all other reckonings to this day,
before me, Edwd Moore, Regr.
Decr 23d 1732:
Alice Goldsmith enters a claim in behalf of herself & sister
Bahee agt the Exectrx of John KNeen for the sum of ten shillings & craves the Law.
Decr 07, 1732:
The within Cath: Cleater wife of Danl Tear owns to have recd
the sum of twenty shillings at & from the hands of Ann wife
& Executrx of John Kneen shoemaker & does hereby acquit &
discharge the said Ann & her Execrs & Administrators of
ye same for ever.
Before me, Edwd Moore, Regr.”
