8 Rushin, 1731:
This is affirmed to be the last will and testament of Isable Carin
als Brew of Ballikilpatrick in Trinity Rushin who departed this life
the 16th of April 1731, Being of perfect mind and sound memory at
the making hereof.
First she committed her sould to God, and her body to Christian Burial.
Item, she bequeathed and left to her son John Cousteen her half of
a certain parcell of Intak joining to his own Land, and her half of a
ll Husbandry gears and twenty shillings and three bowls of oats,
with three half furlets of Barly to her said son, and also her half
of the big chist with three yeards of course linnen cloath to her sd son John.
Itm, she bequeathed and left twenty shillings with two yards of
linnen cloath and two sheep to her Daughter Joney.
Itm she left two yards of linnen cloath to Cathrin Cousteen, She also
left two yards of Linnen cloath to Dorothy Corrin, she declared upon
her Death Bed, that there was twelve chisins of wheat, and seven yards
of Linnin cloath of hers in her Husbands coustody (viz) Patt: Carin
(which was coming from him)
she also declar’d that her children knew whatever else was coming
from her said Husband to get it from him,
She nominated constituted and appointed her Daughter Elizabath
Cousteen to be sole Executrix of all the rest of her goods moveable
and immoveable whatsoever.

The Exrx sworn in Court & gave pledges, Wm: Corrin & John Costean.
Probatum et solvit xxxs
Eliz: & John Costean the 2 eldest children are sworn overseers of
their sister Jony, & have her goods both by their father’s &
mother’s last wills, for the forthcoming of which they gave Pledges,
Henry Costean & John Costean.
Novr 22d 1759:
John Keig husband of Joney Costean came this day to the Registry
& acknowledged to have rec’d from his brother in law John Costean
the twenty shills: & other legacies bequeathed to sd Joney by her
Mother Isabel Carin als Brew the wth:in Testatrix, & does hereby
acquit & discharge him of the same for ever.
