The last will of John Kaighin (Skarsdale) who departed this life about the
beginning of Feb 1731/2.
Being of perfect mind and memory he comitted his soul to God and his body to
Christian burial.
ITEM: He left and bequeathed to his daughter Jony Cannell five shillings. To
his son Wm five shillings and to his son Philip five shillings.
ITEM:  He left to his daughter Alice beside which she had before a sheep and
lamb.  And to his grandson Jon Kaighin a lamb.
ITEM:  He left  to his wife Bahee his half of the mare.
ITEM: To his brother Thos Kaighin some of his cloathes.
ITEM: He declared after having lent his son and heir John Kaighin some money
he required him to provide a coffin and other helps towards his funeral and
burying - and also to give to his son Thos Kaighin 2 bowls or 3 firlots of
oats, if he should need such for feed.
LASTLY: He constituted and appointed his son Thos and his daughter Ellinor
Kaighin joint executors of all the rest of his goods and chattles moveable
and immoveable whatsoever. He left to the witnesses six pence
each.Witnesses:  Thos Cowley his mark X and John Cannell his X.  The
executor sworn in court in form of law.  Pledges are the witnesses of the
will.
