William Callow, 1732

Maughold 1732

    This is affirmed to be the Last Will and Testament of
    William Callow of Ballneskeg in KK Maughold who departed
    this life the 31st of Augst 1732 
Impl    He committed his Soul to God and his body to Christian burial

It    He bequeathed to his Eldest son Edward hafe ye Crop & Team    
    with halfe of all ye husbandry gears and utensils of what nature
    soever belonging to husbandry; halfe of all ye seoks & Canvesses
    & Ropes, and a lime Stone hamer wholly; he left also the ~
    Cuboard to his his sd Son, in room of a Choice Corb Chest, and all
    all those things to ^ be delivered to his sd son when he arrives at ye
    age of sixteen years and not before; and if it pleased God
    to call for his sd Son under age or without Issue; then and in ~
    that Case he left ^ all ye above perticullrs to his Second ^ Son Willm, And if
    William died under age or without Issue, he left ye same to his
    youngest Son John, And if it pleased God, that John died under
    age or without Issue; that then and in that Case all ye above ~
    named perticullrs he left and bequeathed to his daughter Isabel
    and  his youngest daugter Margtt equally betwixt them

It     He bequeathed to Each of ^his three youngest Children vizt willm Jon
    & Margtt Junr three pound ten shills apiece legacy

It    He left to his Son willm all his Right title & Interest that he
    had or might have to Browns Crofft with ye appurlinances there               
     unto belonging [words crossed out]; and his sd wife Catherine gave
    her consent to give her part also of ye sd Crofft unto ye said son ~
    William and ye same to be delivered to him as soon as he comes
    to age

It    He left to his daughter Isabel all ye sheep he had in mountains
    and six lambs that was at home belonging to ye sd sheep [word crossed out]
    Catherine his wife gave ^her Consent to ye same
    He declared that he had paid his Son in law Nicho: Kennish & his
    daughter Margtt five pound Sterlg of their portion and he charged
    twenty Shills for their wedding wch makes it six pound; so that ye
    whole of what he owed them was six pound
    He left to Joney Corkil an Ewe and a lamb against may next
    Lastly he constituted and appointed his loveing wife whole and
    sole Exerx of all ye rest of his good of wt kind or nature soever
    and he left her sole Guardian & Supervisor of his Children

Wm Callow owns to have Recd the Legacy of three pounds
ten Shills left her by her Dd Father & acquits all persons

Imprs    To Cash Lodged in his hand (as a friend) that  }
    became Due to me by the Death of my parents         }           0    10    0
    which he himself leverid[?] for me                  }
     
2dly     To the prize of a Cow lodged also in his                }
    hand which my Brother Jon Cowll sold for me                  }
    with money which he received att Severall                    }
    times beloging to me for Severall beasts                     }
    sold by him which was in partes betwixt                      }
    us with money recd from John Kermeen                         }  4:   14:   6
    for my Shear of a moiety of a heifer & a stear               }
    Likewise money recd by him for my Cow wch                    }
    John Corlett had, all amounting to the Sum                   }
    of £4: 14s: 6d wch he the Sd Callow acknowledged             }
    to me to be forth comeing to me ^ with he above 10s when the }
    latter part of the sd Cattle was sold, further he            }
    told me the Day before he dyed that the Sd                   }
    money was to the  and ready for me &                         }
    that if he could next day rise, the would Deliver            }
    it me                                                        }

21, 1733  The Relict of Wm Callow
   being also Cath
afforesd ^I Cath: Quaile have agreed in
the Court that the former is to
pay to the Latter in lieu of all this & all
other accts the sum of three pounds
& ten shillings within one year & also
that the sd Cath. Quaile shall more-
over receive seven shill. wch Wm
Callow lent of her money to her

Pursnt Pursuant to an Agreemt made
at a Consistrory Court in KK Michl Feb: 21.1733
Between Cath: Quayle & the Relict of Wm
Callow ~ The the Sd Relict has this Day
pay’d to Sd Cath: the Sum of £8: 10s: 0d
wth the farther Sum of Seven Shills in full of
all Accnts ~ Whereupon the Sd Cath: does hereby
discharge the Relict & Extx of Wm Callow of
the Same & all othr demands upon of the sd
