The Last Will and Testament of Joney Key alias Waterson, 
wife to Philip Key of Kirk Patrick she being in perfect 
memory at the makeing hereof,

First: She committed her soul to God that gave it 
and her body to Christian Buriall.

Item:  She left and bequeathed to her husband Philip Key 
all her goods moveable and unmoveable and to have the 
tuition of her Child, to be decently brought up by him 
in the fear of God as becometh apparent to do.

2ndly: She left to Christian Clague a green [mantle] and [aproncoat].

3rdly:  She left to Ann Cottier her best suite of cloths 
and her ?  ? and desire her to oversee the Child that it 
might be kept clean by reason he was her Godson, and which 
accordingly she?

4thly:  She left sixpence legacy to any friend that is 
to claim rights to any of her goods and her husband who 
[pledges] to pay all debts whatsoever could be lawfully demanded.

By order of the Spiritual Court Christian Clague one of 
the subscribing witnesses to this written Will deposed 
before me that the Testatrix Joney Key was in perfect mind 
and memory when she made the same and that she knows of no 
other Will made by her but this and differs from no one 
article in the Will only that it was her ? the ? and not Ann Cottier.

There being no certain Legacy left to the Child he is 
declared to be joint Executor with his father Philip Key 
who has the tuition of the Child and his goods and is sworn 
in form of Law.
Silvester Waterson is sworn overseer in form of Law.  
Pledges for Philip Key for payment of debts and Legacy’s.  
John as also for forthcoming of the goods due to ye Child.

and John Cottier of Knockaloe.
