The last Will and Testament of John Cannell of 
Ballameanagh, who departed this life the twelveth day of 
February last past being of perfect Mind and memory 
is in Manner following 
first 
he committed his Soul to God Almighty and his body to 
Christian buryal; Item he left unto his two youngest 
children viz Patrick Cannel and Joney Cannel four pounds 
apeice as legacy; and a heiffer of a year old to the sd.Patrick; 
Item he left to his Eldest Son William Cannel his heir, his 
share that is half of all ye.Crop of Corn and hay due to him in 
the Farm of Ballalug, three plough beast and three horses yt.is 
ye.riding horse, a little grey mair, and a little horse, and all 
the Hives and bees that is in Ballalug Garden; and his sheep 
that was in Ballalug, and a Big Laddar that was in ye.sd.Farm 
as legacy Item he left to his loving Wife a Cow as legacy; 
Item he left his sd.Wife his share of the Crop of Corn and hay 
of Ballameanagh and his share of ye.Team to his loving wife during 
her natural life; and after her death to return to his sd.Eldest 
Son; and his share of the purchased land of Torecurry. Item 
Lastley he nominated and appointed his son Hugh Cannell 
Sole Executor of all the rest of his goods moveable & unmoveable 
whatsomever, and one shilling apiece to the Witnessess of this 
his Sd.Will, and this in presence of us whose names are here 
written March ye.7th.1738
