This is affirmed to be the Last Will & Testament of 
Catherine Cannel als Cowley of the parish of Ballaugh who 
Departed this Life about yl.15th.of Febry.last being Sound 
in perfect Mind & Memory at Making of The Same ~ 
First She Committed her Soul to Almighty God & her Body to 
Xtian Burial. 
Itm She left and bequeathed to her Son Pat Cannel her part 
of the little Black Mare as Legacy, And her husband 
John Cannel Consented Thereunto That his sd.Son Patrick 
Should have his Share of yl.sd.Mare likewise. 

She left to her Son Ralph Cannel her riding hood a red petty 
Coate a pair of Rodyes and a black Gown in Lieu of ten Shillings 
that was Due to him. 

She left to her Son Willm.Cannel her half of The 
purchased Land they had in Ballnelargey as Legacy 
and That her husband was to hold and Enjoy her sd.half 
During his Natural life, And he yl.sd.husband John Cannel 
Consented to her sd.Will, That his sd.Son William was to 
possess and have his half of ye.sd.Land likewise after his 
own Demise, She left to ye.sd.Willm.ye.little heiffer her 
husband Consented ye.he should have his Share of ye.sd.heiffer 
Also, likewise She left ye.sd.Willm.two Sheep as Legacy 

Lastly She Nominated and appointed her Son ChaCannel her Sole 
Excr.of all ye.rest of her goods Moveable and Immoveable 
What So Ever             The Exrt.Sworn in Court in Form of 
                    Law ~ And in regards John Cannell
