This is affirmed to be the Last Will of Willm.~
Quiggin of Shyleaig who Buried the first ~
day of March 1738 ~ Being of good mind
and memory ~ He Committed his Soul to God, and
his Body to Christian Burial ~ and dispos'd of
his worldy Concerns in the following Manner. ~
Item ~ He Left to his Three daughters by his first
Wife the Sheep that pastur'd near the Droghads ~
He left further to his sd.Three Daughters a pewter
dish apiece, and they to choise for themselves ~ And
to Elizabeth he left also a Coverlet. ~ Item ~ He Left
to his Two Sons by his present Wife fourty Shills.~
Apiece - as also a Sheep & Lamb to each of them, and
and ? them together with their goods to the Tuition
of their Mother ~ He provided & order'd yl.if any one of
his Younger sons viz. Wm.orThos.dy'd under Age this
Legacy was to fall wholy to the other Surviving ~ He Left
to his Son John a Choice Coat ~ and his choice of either an Heifer
or Straw that were hindmost in the plow ~ this being in
lieu of the Brast promis'd to him in Contract ~ He Left Jon.
also the Wool of the Yearlings for this Year, he taking the
Care of them ~ To his Servt.Jon.Cain a Lamb. ~ He declared
that his Son John had Thirty on Shills.or thereabouts in his hands being pt.
of the goods due to his Daughter Isabel, (and John being present
acknowledg'd the Same) ~ Lastly ~ he Nominated & Appointed
his Loving Wife Margt.Quiggin als Taylor Sole Exreve.of all
the rest of his Goods Moveable & Immoveable wt.sworn

The Testator declar'd yt.there was 2.due to his
G.athrd.Exr.being left by him for a Stone to be put
upon his Grave ~ he left to sd.Winesses 7d.sad.
The Execrx.Sworn in Court According to
Law, She has the Tuition of the Children
& their Goods According to yl.Will ~
She together wth.John Quiggin the Excrs.Bror.
are Sworn Overseers. ~
Pledges gred Thos.Cain Bther, & Gilbt.Clark

Ap19th.1739 ~ It is now Agreed Upon by Thos.
Cain in be half of his Son in Law the Exer. ~ And the
Widow and Extrx.of Wm.Quiggin ~
First ~ That they are to divide the Corn half
and half ~
That the Widow is to do half the work
viz.folds & pledges & Surrenders to the then
a Qur.pt.of yl.Crop - releasing the other Qur.to
her self. ~ She is to Sow half yl.Ground.
That the Heir is to reap three Quarters of the
Crop at his own charges
This Agreemt.is to stand until Michaelmas ~

John Quaggin husband of Isabel Quiggin came this
day before me & acknowledged to be fully paid &
Satisfied by John Quiggan his Brother in Law for all his
sd. wife's share of Goods due unto her by the Decease of
her Mother Margt.Quiggen & does hereby acquit &
discharge the sd.John Quiggen his Exrs.Admst.& Assigns
for the Same ~ before me Matth.Curghey
To be annexed to sd.Will of
Wm.Quiggen abt.14 years ago -
as also to sd.Will of Margt.Quiggen

the Will of Eliz.Quiggen
