This affirmed to be the last will and testament
of William Clark of KK Andreas who departed this
life the 9th of August 1739 and being in perfect
mind and memory at the making thereof.
Item: He left and bequeath to Ewan Kerruish forty shillings.
Item: to Mary Looney als Clark forty shillings
Item: To Margt Skillicorn forty shillings
Item: To Dan Looney ten shillings
Item: to Margt Skillicorn six shillings
Item: To Ellinor Skillicorn six shillings
Item: To Wm Kerruish ten shillings
Item: To Mary Christian six shillings
Item: To Mr. John Christian of KK Maughold thirty shillings
Item: He left that the aforesaid legacies
should be paid out of the money that is in
mortgage upon the small Close.
Item: He left to Joney Quayle als Kerruish
half a days moth of hay land which is situated
in the south end of ye aforesaid small Close
(being that part that ______ southward
of Slyvester Kerow and to fall behind as
_________ to ye said Joney Quayle of the
place or estate that now she lives in
and that she is to _____ profit of
ye firth crop accuring out of ye promises.
Item: He left and bequeath to his loving wife
Christian Clark half of the mortgage money
that is Kewin Close and Close Noa together
with half of the mortgage money that is in
ye small Croft after all ye legacies are paid.
Ye other half of ye said mortgage money to
go to the next of his Kinred after his death.
Item: He left to the Witnesses of his will
three shillings each.
Lastly he nominated and appointed his said
wife Christian whole and sole executor of
all the rest of his goods movable and immovable
and all ye lands during ye time of her natural
life and after her death all the said to
fall and descend to his next of kindred.

The witnesses being interrogated concerning
the approbation and consent of the exec of
the will at the making thereof Declare that
the testator asked his wife whether or no she
was willing with ________ then doing and
that she answered do as you think fit yourself
I am satisfied.

Whereas my husband Wm Clark late of KK Andreas
has in his last will left to his Kinswoman
Joney Quayle als Kerruish half a day moth of
the hay land which is situated in the south
end of the small close or close ____ being
that part of ____ Southward of Slyvester
Kerwin Close. I do out of the affection and
good will I bear unto her the said Joney
hereby give gift and settle upon her as much
of the hayland adjoining as will be sufficient
to make that parcel a full daymoth and this
for the purpose mentioned by my husband----
desiring that this my gift goodwill may be
annexed to the last will of my late husband.

Nov 16 1739 Margt Skillicorn _______ has
now received from Wm Radcliffe brother of
Christian the exec of Wm Clark the legacy
of forty shillings bequeath unto her by the
testator. She has also received from him
the legacy of forty shillings left unto
Mary Looney als Clark together with
the legacys of six shillings each left unto
her daughters Margt and Ellinor Skillicorn.
All which is paid unto her on her own
account in full for
________.

Daniel Christian one of the pledges for
the exec of Wm Clark praying to be relieved
and Thomas Curghey another of the pledges
being dead Wm Radcliffe and Philip Radcliffe
brothers of the Exec are become pledges in
that the former according to law.
The Exec is sworn in court in form of law
and hath given pledges for payment of the
gift and legacies of thereforesaid Daniel
Christian and Wm Lane Vitchal. With Thomas Caley.

Mr John Christian has now received the
legacy of thirty shillings. Ewan Kerruish

Kerruish the legacy of ten shillings
bequeath unto them by Wm Clark and this
from the hands of his Exec.

the legacy of six shillings for in behalf
of Mally Christian within mentioned.

Mr Daniel Christian and John Christian
witnesses to the last will of Wm Clark
of KK Andrews depose that at the time of
the will making of the [said] Clark The
testator being asked who he meant by his
next of kindred or next relations he
replied first that they know themselves
who they are and said afterward
that Be brah veagh of Tallvoock.
They depose further that the testator
added if the lands should fall as he willed
it that his wife should sign his will---
but sayed he It’s no matter, its not for
me self then care but for my goods and if
they got it, it would be shared as lots in pieces.
The witnesses declare also that then
they believed that the persons meant
by the Testator were the two widowa
viz Mary Looney als Clark and Marg
Skillicorn als Clark of KK Lonan.
