JURBY - 1740

The Last Will and Testament of Thomas Stephen who departed this life the
22nd of August 1740 being perfect in mind and memory at the makeing hereof;
First he committed his soul to God & his body to Christian Burial;    Item, he
left to his beloved wife a cow as legacy;    Item, he left ten shillings to his
Daughter Margt. if she will come for it;          And he left ten shillings to his
Daughter Ann;  Item, he left ten shillings to his Son John, And ten shillings
to his Daughter Catherine;    Item, he left a quarter of the cropp to his Son
Patrick, together with the husbandry gear & his part of the Sheep, that were
between himself and James Losson   Item, he left a cow to his son Thomas
Lastly, he constituted & appointed his Son Thomas and his Daughter Mary &
his Daughter Elizabeth Equail Ex.ss of all the rest of his goods moveable &
immoveable whatsoever, And Six pence to each the wittnesses of his will

Apr 5 1743 Patrick Stephan acknowledges to be paid the Legacy left him by
his father Tho. Stephan - PatrThoAnne  Mary X Eliz.th acknowledge that
their mother now Dead, rec'd the Cow left her in Legacy by her husband
release and Acquit sd. father & Exec. of the Law forever

June 27 1743 JoStephan Son of Thois now pd. the 10 s left him in Legacy
X has rec'd the same from his Bro. Thos one of the Exet.
