3 Braddan
We do affirm this to be the last will of Ann
Hampton of the parish of KK Braddan who departed
this life March last 1739/40, being in perfect
mind and memory she committed her soul to God
and body to Christian burial.
Item, she left and bequeathed to John Crow her
part of a heifer now in the keeping of Thomas
Cowley of Ballecrink.
Item, she left to her goddaughter John Fayle’s
daughter a sheep or a mutton.
Item, she left and bequeathed to her godson
Robert Lewin’s son her part of a yearling
calf in the keeping of the said Robert Lewin.
She left to their own manservant Thomas Cowin
a mutton.
Item, she left and bequeathed to her loving
mother her chest with her linen and woolen
clothes shaped and unshaped excepting what
pewter was then in it.
And lastly she nominated and appointed her
loving brother Thomas Hampton sole executor
of all the rest of her goods moveable or
immoveable of what kind or nature soever.
And also twelve pence apiece to the witnesses
to this will.
This is truth as we will depose this 15th
May 1740.
Robt Cowin my mark,
Margret Crain my mark.

The Executor is sworn in Court in form of Law.
And has given pledges Ewan Killey Collonnys &
Robt Cown Clei-banef[?].
Probatum est & Solvit 12d.
