The Last Will and Testament of Philip Key who departed this life
the 28th day of July 1740.
First he committed his soul to God that gave it and his body to
Christian Buriall.
Item: He left his wife all her own wearing cloths and all the 
wosted both spun and unspun together with a quart of wool he also 
left her the piece of land which was mortgaged while she 
remained a widow and to his Heir afterwards.
Item: He left a sheep to his youngest son Jon.
Item: He left half of his part of the crops to his Eldest son Philip 
with his part of husbandry gears the said Philip being at the 
[expense] of [reaping] and saving the said half – and likewise he 
left ye said Philip 2 sheep and his wearing cloths and that his 
mothers goods was in a meadow which he released in Mortgage if 
ye law afforded it.
Item: He left his 3 children whole and Equal Executors in all the 
rest of his goods.

The Executors being under age – Patrick Key and Jon [Kneal] 
husband of Ellinor the aunt are sworn overseers in form of Law 
– who are to bring a perfect Inventory of the goods and have given 
pledges Thos. Quayle and Thos. Key.

of Philip Key for 20S.

October 31st 1740 John key senior enters a Claim against the 
Executor of Philip Key for the sum of seven shillings.

October 31st 1740 Alice Quane enters a Claim against the Executor 
of Philip Key for the sum of thirty shillings.
