104 Maughold
This affirmed to be the last will and testament of Thomas Corkan
of KK Maughold who departed this life about the 22nd of March 1740/1,
being of perfect mind and memory.
First, he committed his soul to God and his body to Christian burial.
Item, he bequeathed to his brother William six pence legacy.
Item, he bequeathed to his sister Grace six pence legacy and he
declared that he was indebted to his said brother William and sister
Grace three shillings each as appears by his contract.
Item, he bequeathed to brother’s eldest son his best suit of clothes legacy.
Item, he bequeathed to William Christian of Ballneykilley the one
half of his Croft in KK Christ Lezayre of one penny rent or the value
thereof, if it was sold, and to enjoy the same after his wife’s decease.
Item, he bequeathed to Jane Christian Ballnekilley an ewe.
Item, to the witnesses on shilling each. And all the rest of his goods
and chattels of what nature or denomination soever he left to his loving
wife Corkan alias Callow, and constituted her his whole and sole Executrix.

Ewan Christian.
Jane Corkan the Executrix nominated by the Testator being dead before
the probate hereof, her Executrix, vizt., Ellinor Corkan is sworn in
form of Law, and has given pledges vizt., the witnesses of the will.
