     John Scarffe departed this Life about 
the 18th of November last – Intestate – …
Court upon Intelligence thereof  hath decreed [that] 
his five Children, Namely John, Thomas, James, 
Philip, & Daniel Joint Administrators of all his Goods 
moveable and immoveable whatsoever – Daniel 
being under age, and Philip incapable to undertake 
the Charge – The other three are Sworn in Court [in] 
form of Law – The Goods of the two youngest are 
in the hands of John their Eldest Brother – Pledges 
for the Administ’rs are Wm Kewley Taylor & Wm K…

A true account of the Inventory of the goods 
and effects of the deceadent John Scarfe of the 
parish of KK Lonnon apprazed by four sworn 
men & the [sumn’y] is as followeth viz

June 20 1749 – Dan’l Scarfe & Philip Scarfe the Surviving 
Admin’s of their father John Scarff do acknowledge to being 
fully paid & satisfyed at from the hands of their mother 
Margt Scarffe & also from the hands of Margt their 
Sister in Law in the whole proportion of Goods due 
unto them by the Inventory of their sd father and do 
hereby acquit all persons of this [........]

Douglas May 24th 1749
It appearing that there is yet in the hands of Margt Scarff 
Relict of John Scarff the Sum of three pounds eight 
shillings being the Remainder of w’t was due unto 
Danl & Philip Scarff by the Death of their father John.
Ordered that the said Margt doth forthwith discharge 
the same Sub poena Commitmt in St Germans untill she 
submits & pays all Fees –
