KK   Lezayre          
This  is  affirmed  to  be  the  last  will  and  testament  of  
John  Garrett  of  Ballacottier  of  the  parish  of  KK  Christ  
Lezayre  who  departed  this  life  abt.  the  20th.  of  
September  1744  and  was  of  perfect  mind  and  memory  att  
the  makeing  of  the  same.
First he  committed  his  soul  to  god  and  his  body  to  
christian  burial.
Item he  left  to  his  son  Wm  Garrett  all  the  roof  of  
the  old  house  and  the  new  pou*  and  the  stones  that  
was  att  home  towards  the  building  of  a  house,  and  
all this  in  the  twenty  shillings  that  was  due  unto  
him  by  the  death  of  his  sister  [mary].
Item   he  left  to  his  sd  son  Wm  half  the  crop  and  
half  of  *****  vizt  the  outside  of  the  ****[barn]  
the  cock  ****  and  the  bullock  called  curroo  and  his  
choice  of  the  cow  and  heifer  that  was  in  the  **** [barn]  
and  half  of  the  husbandry  gears  and  half  the  wooden  
******[vesols] among  the  ***** [house]  and  half  of  *****[locks]  if  he  do  
according  to  the  will  of  his  mother  and  relation.
Item    he  left  to  him  his  sd son  wm  the  greay  coult
Item    he  left  on  his  sd son  to  pay  fortty   shillings  
that  was  due  to  Thos  Martin  and  if  he  would  ******  [redeem]  
the  hay  that  he  was  to  give  half  thereof  to  his  mother
item   he  left  to  the  witnesses  of  the  will  sixpence  each
lastly    he  nominated  and  appointed  his  son  John  and  
Isable  Garrett  sole  excts.  of  all  the  rest  of  his  goods  
moveable  and  immoveable  whatsoever
