5     Malew
The last will and testament of John Bridson of Ballavaark, 
withing the parish of KK Malew who departed this life about the
fifth of February anno Domini 1744, being of perfect 
mind and memory at the making hereof. 
First, he committed his soul to god and body to Christian burial. 
Item, he left and bequeathed six pounds equally betwixt 
his two children vizt., John & William Bridson as legacy. 
Item, he left the use and benefit of the lands and 
houses of Balla-vaark to his loving wife Bahee Bridson als Cannel 
until the heir should arrive to the age of fourteen years compleat. 
And lastly, he nominated and appointed his
said wife sole Executrix of all the rest of his goods 
moveable and immoveable whatsoever, excluding 
all claimants with six pence legacy. 
Witnesses: 
John Cubbon, 
Jane Bell als Cain. 

The Widow is sworn Executrix in form of Law, 
and the children with their goods as also 
the profits of the Lands pursuant to the
will committed unto her. Pledges for her 
are John Cubon one of the witnesses & 
William Cannell of KK Michael. William
Bridson the uncle is sworn overseer.
