This is affirmed the last will and 
testament of Tho: Quirk of the Barrane 
in the parish of KK Patrick, who 
departed this life the 21st of 
Febry 1745/6, who was of perfect mind 
and memory at the making thereof. 
First he committed his soul to God 
and his body to Christian burial, 
and for his worldly good, he disposed 
of them as follows: 
Item, he declared that he had about 
eight pounds in Richd Radcliffe’s 
widow’s hand in Peeltown and out 
of the said eight pound he bequeathed 
unto his son Thomas forty shillings, 
and the remaining part thereof to 
fall equally to his son William 
and his daughter Isable. 
Lastly, he constituted his son Thomas 
Quirk whole and sole executor of all 
his goods and effects moveable and 
immovable whatsoever, this in the 
presence of us the subscribing witnesses. 
Witnesses: 
John Quirk, 
Thomas Kermod. 

The Executor is sworn in court in 
form of Law and hath given pledges 
vizt., the witnesses of the will.

March 1st 1748
William Quirk came this day and 
acknowledged to be fully satisfied 
and paid all that was due unto him 
by the death of his father Thos. 
Quirk, and does hereby acquit the 
said Thos. executor forever for the same. 

Memdm. 
John Quirk of Treljeh acknowledged before 
me some days before he dyed that he had 
rec’d from his father in law’s executor 
what was due him by his said father in law’s death
