The last will and testament of John Leece
of the Parish of KK German, who departed 
this life the 12th of April 1748, being 
of perfect mind and memory at the
making thereof in manner and form as 
hereafter specified: He committed his soul 
to God and his body to Christian burial. 
Item, he left and bequeathed to his
grandchild John Leece his part of the table, 
its frame, and the forms about it in the 
parlour if he lived to enjoy them, 
otherwise to return to the executors. 
Item, he left to his said grandchild 
his part of the husbandry gears, after 
the death of his grandmother. 
Item, he left fifteen shillings legacy 
to Joseph Cannell. 
Item, to his grandchild John Crellin 
he left a sheep and a lamb. 
Lastly, he nominated, constituted and 
appointed his beloved wife Margaret 
Leece als Radcliffe and his daughter
Anne whole and joint executrices of 
all the rest of his goods moveable 
and immovable, cutting off all other 
persons claiming right to his goods 
with six pence legac.
Witnesses: 
Henry Crellin, 
Thomas McYlchreest.

The executrices are sworn in Court in form 
of Law and have given pledges for payment 
of debts and legacies vizt., John Gell Kinaa, and Hugh Craine.

December 30th, 1749
Joseph Cannell came this day to the Registry 
and acknowledges to have received at and from 
the hands of Margaret Leece als Radcliffe &
Ann the executrices of the within will the 
sum of fifteen shillings bequeathed to him 
by the within will and does hereby acquit 
and discharge the said executrices
forever for the same and this before me

KK German June the 8th, 1748
The Corbs belonging to John Leece minor, 
praised by four sworn men to value ye 
said corbs or goods: 
Item, a large table in the kitchen 0:2:2; 
Item a large pott 0:5:0
Item, a coulter 0:2:0; 
item a sword 0:3:0; 
Item a chest 0:4:5:6; 
Item a raehentree 0:0:10; 
Item, a chair 0:3:0; 
Item, a tankard or best cup 0:1:0; 
total 1 pound 1 shilling 6 pence. 
And this we return for our answer the 
day and date as above written
