The last will and testament of William Curphey mariner 
who departed this life about the 10th December 1747, 
being of perfect mind and memory at the making hereof. 
First he committed his soul unto God and his body to 
Christian burial. 
Item, he left a crown to his son Matthias and a crown 
to the child on his wife’s bearing. 
Lastly, he nominated and appointed his loving wife 
Margaret sole executrix of all the rest of his goods 
moveable and immovable. 
Witnesses: 
Ann Cowle, 
Joney Tear. 

At a Chapter Court, 
the widow is sworn executrix in form of Law and has 
given pledges for payment of debts and legacies, 
namely Charles Moore & John Johnston of Ramsey. 
The Revd. Nathaniel Curghey the uncle and his 
sister Mrs. Elizabeth Robinson are sworn overseers
