This is affirmed to be the last Will and Testament of 
Alice Gell of KK Conchan who departed this life on ye 
11th of November - 1748 being weak of body but of Perfect 
mind and memory at the making thereof;
First she committed her Soul to God and her body to 
Christian Burial and Disposed of her worldly Goods as 
follows -
She bequeathed to her son William, her part of the 
Douglas house and Garden; and she left on him that he was 
not to sell or Mortgage; the sd. House and Garden; and if 
so be it that her said Son William, will die without 
Lawful Issue that the said House and Garden is to Return 
to his own next kindred.
She also left to her sd. Son William a Great Chest and an 
iron pot containing six quarts & a rug & blankett and 
four yards of fine linen cloth; and four yards of gray 
cloth or pleding And whatever beast or sheep yt was 
named on himself before and the bed that she lay on; 
after his father's death.
Item She left to her daughter Ellinor ten shillings & 
eight yards of coloured stuff
Item She left to her daughter Alice five shillings and 
her red and black petty coats
Item She left to her daughter Anne a cow and her part of 
the household stuff, and her riding hood
Item She left to her grandaughter Isabel Moore a sheep 
and a lamb
Item She left to her grandaughter Ellinor Quark a lamb 
Item She left to her grandaughter Isabel Kewley a lamb
Lastly She nominated and appointed her loving husband 
John Gell whole executor of all the rest of her Goods, 
moveable and immoveable what so ever.

The executor is sworn in court in form of law and hath 
given pledges for payment of Debts and Legacies vizt. Wm. 
Cain & Tho. Cowin
