Catharine Kinread als Kewn departed this life
about the 16th of January last and for as much
upon trial it does not appear that a legal
Will was made by her and that the same
is adjudg'd invalid - The Court does there:
upon decree her both sons namely Ewan
& Thomas Kinread joynt Adminrs of all her
Goods & Chattles moveable & imoveable
whatsoever. Who are accordingly sworn
for the payment of the debts of the deceased
as the Law shall bind as also to be just
the one to the other in Division of the
Effects and have given pledges in form
of Law - namely - John Cowle & Daniel

Novembr 3 1748. John Caine enters a claim agt the
Admors of Cath: Kinread als Kewn for fourty shills.
NovDecr 2 48 Thos Kinread enters a claime for £2-16-0d etc.


Catharine Kinread alias Kewn wife of John Kinread
of Lezaire died intestate about the latter end of Janry
anno 1747. By a Decree of the Spiritual Court
her two sons Ewan and Thos Kinread were decreed
Aministrs off all her goods:- and by authority of
the revd Vicr Genrl Moores token granted to Ewan
Kinread one of the Amrs four men vizt: Robt Kissage
Robt Kewin, John Sayle and John Kelly were sworn by
John Kneen Sumnr of Lezaire to price  the goods ofall
the Goods of the Deceadt and her Husband's that a
perfect Inventory of the Deceadts Goods might be given
in to the Spiritual records, wherefore a perfect thereof
is aprised by the sd sworn men is as followeth:

 The total is barely readable but appears tobe £10-10-1½ ]
 
We whose names ensue being a Jury of four men impannelled by
virtue of the Reverend Vicar Generall Moore his token and
sworn by Jon: Kewn Sumner of Lezaire at the suit of Ewan Kinred
one of the Adminrs of Cathrin Kinred late deceased, to view and aprize
all what pasture ground Jon: Kinred his father had for his catle from
Michalmus till Hollantide, and having appeared at the spot,
and viewed the same, and seriously considered thereof, We
esteem & apprize the pasture to one pound nine shillings
and the [eddish] to six shillings which amounts in the whole
to one pound fifteen shillings. And this we enter for
our Answer in the premisses as witness our name and
marks this 11th March 1748
