John Crebbin, 1749

Know all men by these ~
Presents that I John Crebbin of 
Ballayarrad in the parish of 
KK Christ Rushen Diverse good
Causes me thereunto moving but 
Chiefly out of the goodwill and ~
Natural affection which I have 
and Do bear unto my loving and 
Dutyfull son, John Crebbin ~
Have Given Granted and Estated and
Settled and by these presents ~
Do Give Grant Settle and Estate on ~
Him my sd. Son John Crebbin ~  
all the right Title and Interest ~
That I now have or hereafter ~
May or can have in and unto ~
My half or moiety of the sd. Estate
Or parcell of Quarterland called 
Ballayarrard (the other moiety
being settled upon him by his 
Decd. Mother) of the annual 
Lords rent of three shillings ~
And four pence or thereabouts
The same more or less together ~
With the Crop team and ~
Husbandary gears of what kind
Soever to be held and possessed 
by my said son John Crebbin 
after my decease as also as the ~ 
rest and remainder of all my ~
Worldly Goods Chattells and ~
Effects of  what nature or kind
Soever reserving to my Daughter 
Ann Crebbin wife of Tho Costean
One Chest, half a bed & bed Cloat…
half a Cow which other half of
the Bed and Cow were bequeathed 
to her by her mother and also 
half the Cow which is now in 
her own keeping together with
Two Sheep, but these particular 
Not to be possessed by my sd. Son
Or Daughter untill after my ~
Decease ~ To have and to hold
Unto him my sd. Son the sd. Lands
etc. after my decease as aforesd
yielding & paying such rent
as the premises bears with all
other boons suits and services
due & payable out of the 
premises at times and seasons
accustomed, and for the true
and faithfull perfomance
hreof I the sd John Crebbin do
hereby bind and oblige myself
my heirs Execrs Admrs and 
assignes in and under the
penalty and forfeiture of fourty
pounds to be levyed and paid
according to law as witness his hand

The above Deed of Settlement having been Confirmed in the [Temporal]
Court the same is Accepted for the last Will and testamt of John Crebbin
whereupon his son John Crebbin is sworn Exctr in form of law & hath
given pledges viz: Tho: Moore & John Waterson both of Rushen.
