Ewan Martin departed this life bout the 22d of January last intestate.
The court thereupon hath decreed his six children namely Edward,
Edmond, Wm, Margaret, Grace and Jane Martin joint administrators of all his
goods and chattels moveable and immoveable whatsoever his
daughter Ann having obtained a contract bargain.  William and Jane being
under age the other four are sworn to bring to the registry a perfect
inventory of the effects and for payment of debts and according to law and
the goods of the two youngest children are in the tuition of their mother.
Pledges for the administration and for the mother also are Wm Corkill and Wm
Spranger.

At Lezayre Nov 23 1754.
Edward Martin son of Ewan Martin late of Ramsey deceased acknowledges to
have received from his brothers Edmond Martin, William Martin and William
Christian husband of his sister Margaret Martin the sum of two pounds
sixteen shillings which with a cow already received he accepts
off in full satisfaction for his said father's share of moveable goods (his
share or right of houses and lands being hereby excepted reserved to be
determined according to law) and he hereby acquits and discharged his
foresaid brothers and sister forever for his said share of moveable goods
witness his name the day and date above.  Edward Martin.

We Edmond Martin, William Martin and William Christian aforesaid
hereby acknowledge to have received the share of moveable goods due to us by
the decease of our father the said Ewan Martin (share or right of houses and
lands and the prime cost of quarterland purchased by our said father and due
to us respectively being hereby excepted and reserved to be hereafter
determined according to law.  And we severally acquit and discharge our said
Brother Edward Martin and all others for our share of moveable goods
aforesaid.  Witness our hands the day and date first written.
