This is affirmed to be the last will and testament of Ewan Killip who
departed this life on or about the 14th of May last being of perfect memory
and sound judgement at the making ehreof.
IMP:  He committed his soul to God Almight and his Body to Christian Burial
in the Holy Church yard.
ITEM:  He left and bequeathed to his two sons vizt Wm and Jon eight pounds
each.
Lastly - He constituted nominated and appointed his loving wife sole
executrix of all the rest of his goods moveable and immoveable of what kind
or denomination soever and six pence legacy to any other person or persons
that would claim any right or title to any of his goods.

Oct 14th 1751 Mr Christian and Wm Gell one of the witnesses to the above
will has been a long time sick and not able to attend our courts - you are
hereby impowered to administer an oath unto him whether the testator Ewan
Killip was of sound mind and memory at the making of the said will or that
he knows of any other will made unto the contrary and certify the same unto
us      Ro:Radcliffe and Mathias Curghey.

Pursuant to the above commission I examined the above William Gell upon oath
to the above interrogations this day who deposed that the above mentioned
testator Ewan Killip was of sound mind and memory at the making of the said
will and that he the said deponent knows of no other will made to the
contrary thereof - This I certify this 12th Oct 1751   John Christian.

At a Chapter court in Douglass Oct 14, 1751
William Gell one of the witnesses being sworn to the truth of the testators
will as appears by the within commission and certificate the other witness
Edwd Kindred has proved the same in form of law. Whereupon the executrix is
sworn in court according to law and hath given pledges for payment of debts
and legacies namely Thos Callin and Edwd Kinread both of Marown and whereas
no relation has appeared at court on the dead part the widow is sworn
overseer.   PROBATUM EST

William and John Killip sons of the within testator acknowledge to have
received at and from the hands of their mother Cath:Killey als Killip the
sum of four pounds each being her part or proportion of the legacy left them
by their said father the other moiety thereof being paid unto them pursuant
to an order of court hereto annexed by the administrator of their stepfather
and hereby severally acquit and discharge their said mother and her
executors for the same.  Witness their marks to their names this 16 Mar

At a Consistory Court holden at KK Michael July 13 1752
Ewan Killip of KK Marown having by his last will and tetament proved 14th
Oct 1751 left and bequeathed unto his sons Willm and John Killip eight
pounds each and the said money being payable by their mother, who since
intermarry'd with Henry Killey of KK German late deceased and it appearing
that the part of said sum has been paid or discharged. Ordereed that a
moiety or half thereof be discharged by the said Henry Killey's
administrators and the other half or moiety by the said Hen. Killey's widow
subpena Juris with all fees     Ro:Radcliffe and Matthias Curghey To the
Sumner of KK German who if disobeyed to apply for a soldier. Exam by Ja:

William and John Killip within mentioned being arrived to lawful years
acknowledged to have received at and from the administrators of Henry Killey
pursuant to the within order the sum of four pounds each and respectively
discharge and acquit the said Killeys administrators and all others for the
same - Witness the said mark to their names
