In the name of God, amen. I Elizabeth Harley of Castletown 
in the Isle of Mann, widow, being of sound mind and memory 
and at present in perfect health yet calling to mind the 
uncertainty of this life, do make this, my last will and 
testament in manner following. 
First, I commend my soul to God and my body to Christian burial. 
Item, I leave to the poor of Castletown four pounds to 
be distributed amongst them at the discretion of my 
executrix hereafter named. 
I leave to my daughter Elizabeth Martin six pence legacy. 
I give, devise and bequeath to my daughter Ann Corrin 
all my houses and lands, goods, chattels and effects 
moveable and immovable of what kind or nature soever. 
And do hereby constitute and appoint her whole and 
sole executrix of this my last will. 
In witness whereof I have hereunto put my hand and seal 
this 5th day of August 1748.

The above named Mrs. Elizabeth Harley declared and now 
published this her last will and testament in our presence 
and desired us to be witnesses thereof: 
John Quayle, 
Robert Woods. [Will proved 3 June 1752] Castletown, 

February 15th 1753
Mr. Thomas Taubman enters a claim against the executrix 
of Mrs. Elizabeth Harley for the sum of three pounds 
and craves the law
