Solvit 12 d, Probatum est, Ro: Radcliffe, Matths Curghey. AT A CHAPTER COURT AT LEZAYRE JUNE 11TH 1754 DOROTHY CRAIN one of the witnesses to the will of Mr. RO:CORLET deposes that the Testator some time before he made his will told the Deponent that he was in some doubt whether or no he had paid a legacy of five pounds which his SISTER IN LAW MRS. MARY CORLETT had bequeathed to the poor of Lezayre and for that reason he would leave the sum of ten pounds in his will to the said poor that they might not be sufferers. And whereas the Executor THOMAS CORLETT has this day produced a Record under the hands of the Vicar and Wardens of Lezayre that the said Legacy has been discharged, the Court therefore recommends it to the Vicar and Wardens to accept of and receive the sum of five pounds only in full satisfaction for the Legacy of the ten pounds bequeathed in said will.
