Douglas  

This is affirmed to be the Last Will & Testament of John
Qualtrough wigmaker of the town of Douglas 
Being in sound mind and memory at the making thereof.

First he commended his soul to God and his Body to Christian burial

He bequeathed to his daughter Jane a guinea and appointed 
that if his wife should alter her condition and marry again that
         when she arrives at eighteen years of age and if in case that
his said daughter Jane was to have five pound /\ his said daughter should
die at any time before that age his goods were to fall to his wife 
and order that his wife was to have the care and tuition and care of his child

Lastly He nominated constituted and appointed his Loving wife
Executrix of all the rest of his Goods movable and immovable 
of what kind or nature soever. Likewise left sixpence legacy
to anyone claimer that pretended to have a claim to his effects.

   		At a consistory Court held at Ballamamagher
		Aug 22nd 1754
		The Exctx is sworn in Court in form of Law
		and hath given pledges for payment of Debts
		and Legacys viz John Bell & John Cannon 
		the witnesses of the will – the tuition of 
		child together with her goods are Comitted 
		unto the mother.

		Wm Qualtrough & Ewan Qualtrough 
		the Uncles are sworn supervisors.
