NOTE:There are three versions of this will written in different hands. The first version occurs on what appears to be the minutes of a Chapter Court in which four wills are detailed. The second and third versions occurs later in the book in the proper place for Maughold.
Version 1
At a Chapter Court.
Maughold - Esther Creech als Karran died abt the 16 March last
Intestate - The Court has decreed her only Brother Wm Karran admr, who
consents in Court that her child born beofre marriage shall be
Joint Admr with him & who undertakes the tuition of the Child
& is sworn to bring to the regry a perfect Inventory & has given
pledges for paymt of debts; namely Wm Creech & Hugh Karran both of Maughold.
Wm Creech the husband sworn in Court to render a true
acct. to the benefit of the Admrs.

Esther Creech als Karran departed this Life
on or about the 16th day of March last Intestate.
The Court upon Intelligence thereof hath
Decreed her only Brother Willm Karran sole
Adminr of all her Goods & chattles moveable &
immovable whatsoever, and he the sd Karran
consents not only that deceads child born
before marriage namely John Creetch shall be joint Adminr with him
(who is accordingly so Decreed) but also to undertake
the Tuition of the Deads part of sd child. He the
sd Karran is sworn to bring to the Registry a
perfect Inventory as also for payment of Debts
according to Law. To these ends & for forthcoming
of the orphan's goods he hath given pledges in
form of Law namely Wm Creech & Hugh
Karran both of KK Maughold.
He is also sworn Supervisor of the child and Wm
Creech the widower, is sworn to render a just acct
of the goods of the decd.
