Rushen
The last will and testament of John Kelly of Ballagueena who departed
this life the 25th day of April 1755.
Imp: He bequeathed to his son Wm Kelly two bowls of barley and two
bowls of oates to be paid to him when he comes to age to have occasion for
it.
Item: He bequeath to his loving wife three pounds.
Item: He bequeath to the Vicar five shillings.
Item: He bequeath to the poor of the parish a firlet of barley.
Lastly he nominated constituted and appointed his daughter Margery
Kelly (a minor) sole executrix of all the rest of his goods moveable and
immoveable and left the benefit of the goods and tuition of his said
children to his loving wife Margery Kelly als Clucas during their
minority and if either of the said children dyed under age he willed that
the said wife should have the sum of ten pounds of the said children's
goods.

The widow is sworn to bring to the Registry a perfect inventory of the goods
of the deceased and has the tuition of the children and their goods
committed unto her pursuant to the will of the testator.
She has likewise given pledges for payment of debts and legacies vixt
Thomas Waterson and Mr John Harrison of Balladda.
Thomas Nelson and Jo Nelson the uncles are sworn supervisors.
I Marjery Kelly of the parish of Kirk Christ Rushen do hereby
acknowledge to have received from my mother Margery Kelly the sum of forty
one pounds nine shillings and three half pence or thereabouts being
a legacy bequeathed me about thirty one years ago by my father John
Kelly this the 29 day of May 1786.
