The last will and testament of ISABEL KEIGGEEN ALS 
QUILLIAM who departed this life about the 24th of 
February anno predict.  
Imprimis, She commended her soul to God and her 
body to Christian burial.  
Itm, She bequeathed to her eldest SON JOHN KEIGGEEN 
her part of the Intack whereon the houses are erected 
together with the buildings upon the same, vizt, 
between the mountain road and the old Croft, and also 
the two fields joining to the Racky Intack and the 
small Croft joining to the same, which is to pass as 
Inheritance provided that the sd JOHN is not to possess 
the same till after the decease of his FATHER JOHN 
KEIGGEEN SENR. She left also to her said SON JOHN a 
sheep & half a calf and to her GRAN-SON JOHN KEIGGEEN 
one sheep.  
Itm, She bequeathed to her SON THOMAS KEIGGEEN the 
remainder of the Intack of Bar-ny-gley paying unto 
the Execurs the sum of twenty pounds, vizt., ten 
pounds to her DAUGHTER ELEANR, five pounds to her 
SON DANIEL KEIGGEEN if he does come to the Island 
and demand the same, and if not the said five pounds 
to be equally divided between her said SON THOMAS and 
her DAUGHTER ELEANR.  
Itm, She bequeathed to her DAUGHTER ISSABEL twenty shillings.  
Itm, She bequeathed to her DAUGHTER ANN three pounds to 
be paid by ten shillings by the year until the same be 
fully paid, and also a sheep; and to her GRAN-SON WILLIAM 
QUAYLE twenty shillings and a sheep, and that the said 
THOS is not to pay any of the twenty pounds abovesd till 
after his father's death, but only the Legacy left to 
ANNE above mentioned.  
Itm, She bequeathed to her SON CHARLES KEIGGEEN the 
sum of six pounds to be paid by the Execr at his father's Death.  
Itm, She bequeathed to her said SON THOMAS all her 
part of the sheep the Legacies only excepted; and that 
her children might enjoy without obstruction any goods 
that were said to be their own.  
Itm, She bequeathed to her said SON THOMAS all her part 
of the Looms and all the utensils unto the same appertaining.  
Itm, she bequeathed to her loving HUSBAND JOHN KEIGGEN 
SENR her part of a feather bed and bed cloathes paying 
unto her said SON THOMAS twenty shillings, the said twently 
shillings to be paid at the decease of the said JOHN 
KEIGGEEN SENR.  
Itm, She declared that her SON DANIEL, when he left t
his Island, left a sum of money in her hands, and if he 
did not return he left the said money to his BROTHER THOMAS.  
Itm, She declared it to be her Will that the land already 
bequeathed to THOMAS should fall to the next of his Kin 
and that he should not encumber the same above the sum wch 
he is to pay out of the same, vizt, twenty pounds.  
Lastly, She nominated, constituted and appointed her loving 
DAUGHTER ELEANR KEIGGEEN sole execr of all the rest of her 
good moveable and immoveable what ever.

At a Chapter Court held at Castletown June 2d 1756: 
The Executr is sworn in Court in form of Law and hath 
given pledges for payment of Debts & Legacies vizt., 
Thos Clark & John Cain the witnesses of the will.  
Solvit 12d, Probatum est.

Matths Curghey.                      

I do hereby acknowledge to have received at and fro the hands 
of my BROTHER THOS KEGGEEN the just sum of twenty shillings 
the same being the Legacie left me by my MOTHER ISABEL KEGGEEN 
of KK Malew, and I do hereby acquit and discharge him my 
sd BROTHER his heirs execrs admintrs and assigns for the above sum, 
Witness my name and mark this 30th of June 1757.  
ISABEL CROW ALIAS KEGGEEN my mark.

At Lezayre June 30th 1757, Isabel Crow als Keggeen acknowledged 
the above receipt and discharge, before me Matths Curghey.  
To be [anexed] to the will of Isabel Keggein Lib 2d 1756, Malew.                             

June 7th 1773: 
this day THOS GELLING HUSBAND OF ELEANOR KEIGGEEN acknowledged to 
have recd from THOS KEGGEEN the sum of ten pounds a legacy 
bequeathed his WIFE ELEANOR, as also the further sum of two pounds 
ten shillings, his wife's moiety of the Legacy of five pounds 
bequeathed to her BROTHER DANIEL (who died abroad), he doth hereby 
acquit release & discharge the sd THOS KEIGGEEN his Excr Adminrs 
of sd Lecacys or any part thereof as witness his mark to his name 
the day & date above written, THOS GELLING his X.

JUNE 7TH 1773: 
THIS DAY WM QUAYLE acknowledged to have recd from THOS KEIGGEEN the 
sum of twenty shillings & a sheep a legacy bequeathed by the last 
will of ISABEL KEGGEEN & he doth hereby release acquit & discharge 
the sd THOS KEGGEEN his Execrs Adminrs of sd legacy, as witness his 
mark the day & date above written, WM QUAYLE his mark X.

JUNE 7TH 1773: 
THIS DAY CHARLES KEGGEEN acknowledged to have recd from ELLNR KEGGEEN 
Execr of the last will of ISABEL KEGEEN the sum of six pounds a legacy 
bequeathed him by said ISABEL KEGGEEN & he doth hereby release acquit 
& discharge the sd Execr her Execrs Admmrs or assigns of sd legacy as 
witness his mark to his name the day & date above written,
