This is affirmed to be the last Will & Testament
of Ewan Kinread of Lezayre who departed this life
on or about the 23d of April 1757, being weak of
body, but of perfect mind and memory at the making
hereof
First He commited his soul to God and his body to Christian
   burial
Item he left to his loving wife one in calf cow
Item he left to his son Thomas six pounds currency of
   this Isle, but that sd pounds was to remain in the
   hands of his son Ewan until sd Thomas should be able
   to put it to a good use and if he should die before his sd
   brother had paid him the money then sd money was
   to remain in his brothers hands for his own use
Item Left to his daughter Mary the wife of Jon Kneen
   three yards of pladding for a petticoate
Item He left to his two grand daughters the children
   of sd John Kneen six yards of big wheel stuff for
   cloths for them
Item he left to his grand son John Kneen one she
   lamb
Item he left to the two witnesses of his will six pence each
Lastly he nominated, appointed, and ordained his loving
   son Ewan, whole and sole Executor of all the rest
   of his goods of what kind or nature soever

pledges for paymt of debts & legacies namely the witnesses
of the will             Probatum est

I Thos Kinread do hereby acknowledge to have recd of &
from the hands of my brother Ewan Kinread the full & just
sum of six pounds being the Legacy left & bequeathed unto me
by my sd father, and I do hereby acquit & discharge my said brother
Ewan Kinread his Execs Admrs & assigns thereof forever - as witness
my mark to my name this 23d Janry 1768
