Santan
This is affirmed to be the last will and testament of Isabel Cowle als
Brew of the parish of KK Santan being of perfect mind and memory at the
making thereof and departed this life about the 30th of May 1757.
First she committed her soul to God and her body to Christian burial.
Item: She left and bequeathed to her daughter and only child Isable
Cowle all her worldly goods and of what nature soever as executrix.
Item: She willed and ordered her loving husband John Cowle to have the
custody and tuition of the said Isabel and her effects and provided she
dy'd before she would received the same then in that case the said John to
have and enjoy said effects paying six pence legacy to all that would claim
any legal right thereto.

At a Chapter Court holden at Castletown Jun 9th 1757.
Isabel Cowle the executrix being under age her father John Cowle is
sworn executor in trust as also to bring to the Registry a perfect inventory
for the benefit of the minor as also for payment of debts and hath the minor
and her goods committed unto him pursuant to the will of the testatrix
pledges in form of law are John Quirk Croggah and Robt Cowley both of St
Ann.
Robert Brew and Philip Quay are sworn supervisors.
I Isabel Cowle do hereby acknowledge to have received all and every part
of that goods chattels and effects my mother died possessed of from the
hands of my father John Cowle and do therefore acquit him of the same Isable
Cowle my x mark
