The last will and testament of Ann McHood als Cain 
late of the town of Douglas but now residing in 
KK Patrick, made this 26th November 1756, being 
weak in body but of perfect mind and memory. 
She first committed her soul to God and her body 
to Christian burial. 
Item, she left and bequeathed unto each of her 
brother James’s children vizt. Cath. Moore, Ann Cain 
& Richard Cain one crown and a feather bed apiece legacy. 
She left unto her brother Thomas Cain half a crown legacy. 
And lastly she nominated constituted and appointed 
her brother the Revd. Robert Radcliffe sole executor 
of all the rest of her goods moveable and immoveable 
whatsoever.

John Callin, 
Catharine Cottier als Quay, 
Marjery Christian. 

At a Consistory Court holden 
at Bishop’s Court January 1st, 1757, 
The Revd Robert Radcliffe is sworn executor in Court 
in form of Law and hath given pledges for payment of 
debts and legacies
