17    Rushen 
The last will and testament of Mary Qualtrough 
als Oates of the Parish of Trinity Rushen, who 
departed this life about the fourteenth day of 
November 1757. First, she commended her soul to 
Almighty God and her body to Christian burial. 
Item, she bequeathed to her son William 
Qualtrough the great chest. 
Item, she bequeathed to her daughter Anne the 
bed and bed clothes. 
Item, she bequeathed to her three daughters viz., 
Jane, Mary and Sarah ten shillings each, and 
likewise to two of her said daughters viz., 
Jane and Sarah four yards of linen each. 
Lastly, she nominated and appointed her son 
William Qualtrough and daughter Anne before 
mentioned joint executors of all the rest of 
her goods moveable and immoveable. 
Witnesses: 
John Crejeen, 
John Harrison. 

At a Court of Correction held in Castletown February 22nd, 1758, 
the executors sworn in Court in form of Law and have 
given pledges for payment of debts and legacies vizt., 
John Crejeen and John Harrison the witnesses of the will.
