In the name of God, amen. I Catharine Moore als Clucas 
widow of Douglas, being sick and weak of body, but of 
sound mind and perfect memory, do make this my last will 
and testament in manner and form following: 
Imprimis, I commit my soul to God and my body to Christian burial. 
Item, I leave and bequeath to my daughter Catharine Merryman 
twenty one English shillings. 
Item, I leave and bequeath to my granddaughter 
Catharine Kowen twenty one English shillings. 
Item, I leave and bequeath to my daughter Ellinor Cannell 
twenty one English shillings. 
Item, I leave and bequeath to all cravers six pence each. 
Item, I leave and bequeath to my daughter Margrett Moore 
my half of the dwelling house with all the furniture 
therein, with all the rest of my effects moveable and 
unmoveable, and do hereby nominate, constitute and 
appoint her the sole Administrator of this my last 
Will and Testament as witness my hand this ninth day 
of November one thousand seven hundred and fifty eight.

At a Consitory Court holden in Douglas February 17xx: 
The Executrix is sworn in Court in form of Law 
and hath given pledges for payment of debts and 
legacies namely Patrick Corlet and Charles Cannel 
both of the town of Douglas
